• 2010    IS HALF WAY THROUGH ALREADY !

How time flies. In the first half of the year the Band has enjoyed exciting new music, outdoor events, the ANZAC parade through the City and most recently a ‘Weekend in Residence’ at the picturesque Shiloh Hills Campsite at Ironbank. Some highlights of this weekend being members of all ages from 16 to 70’s sharing laughs, a bonfire on Saturday night, and conversation and friendship around a cosy wood fire in the lounge.

We are now working towards the Almond Blossom Festival, the Strathalbyn Bands Festival, and in September, the State Band Competitions. 

Members please note that the Annual General Meeting will be held on August 13^th   7.30 pm at the rehearsal hall.

Friendship and fun in an instrumental musical setting is what we are about, whilst striving to achieve and improve together.  We would love you to join us.

• VACANCIES

The Band is currently recruiting for the Concert Band and Training Band.  Players of all concert band instruments are welcomed to join our happy group.

The Training Band is for the less experienced musicians of all ages. Instrumental and performance skills are taught. A very affordable instrument hire scheme is available.
