The Onkaparinga City Concert Band is currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic Music Director to lead its Senior Concert Band.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity, with the current MD having been in the position for the past 19 years.
The Onkaparinga City Concert Band is one of South Australia’s leading community bands playing both technically challenging and entertaining music for its audiences. Its members pride themselves on providing a safe and fun environment for all.

As current state B grade champions, the band enjoys being involved in concert band competitions within South Australia. However, the primary objective of the band is to provide a nurturing and enjoyable musical environment for our members and the community.
The MD will work alongside the band’s committee to further develop the musical opportunities available within the City of Onkaparinga and South Australia.
The ideal candidate should have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with past experience in music education and/or performing music at an advanced level.
Rehearsals are held on Friday evenings 7.30 – 9.30pm in Aberfoyle Park. The successful candidate must be available at this time on a weekly basis, as well as for various gigs throughout the year.
The MD will receive an honorarium and an annual budget for purchasing new music.
